Lake Ammersee is situated only 30 km southwest of Munich near to the
beautiful region of the Bavarian Alps. Although it is the third biggest lake
in Bavaria, it is still relatively unknown, which makes a visit even
more attractive.
During the tour you will visit the Andechs Monastery, which is not only an
attraction for pilgrims but also a famous beer brewery, and enjoy a boat trip
over the lake to Diessen, a picturesque village with a historical market.

Day Tour: Wessobrunn, Steingaden and
UNESCO World Heritage Site “Wieskirche”

The Abbey in Wessobrunn is known as the home of the “Wessobrunner
Schule” (School of Wessobrunn). Artists from here travelled all over Europe
to bring the South Bavarian Baroque style to more than 3000 churches,
cloisters and castles.
After visiting the monastery you can examine the famous stuccowork in the
Wieskirche, the Pilgrimage Church of the Scourged Saviour, in Steingaden.
This beautiful church has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1983
and attracts many pilgrims each year.

Half Day Tour: Schliersee / Spitzing
Wednesday 17 September (12:00 - 18:00, approx. 6 hrs)
Price: 70 EUR (includes entrance fees, excludes lunch)
This tour leads you away from crowded cities into the idyllic landscape of
Bavaria. The lakes “Schliersee” and “Spitzingsee” are two of the most beautiful
lakes in the region and visitors can relax or take a walk around their
shores.
The trip includes a visit to the Sixtus Church in Schliersee and the open air
museum “Wasiland”, where you can experience life as it was in an original
Bavarian country village in the early 18 th century.
