HEALTH – THE FOOT
Different Types of Warts
What is a Foot Wart?
Excessive Foot Sweating
Symptoms & Natural
Treatments For Foot Sweating
Excessive foot sweating is a form
of sweating called plantar hyperhidrosis.
Other forms of hyperhidrosis
include palmar hyperhidrosis and axillary
hyperhidrosis. This article focuses
on the symptoms of foot sweating, its
symptoms and the available cures.
Foot sweating is characterized by excessive
sweating of the soles of the feet.
It is one of the most common forms of
hyperhidrosis, and affects about 1% of
the population of the world.
There can be many causes of excessive
foot sweating for the people who have
this condition, and it is hard to pinpoint
the exact cause for each person. It could
be caused by an overactive nervous system,
or overactivity of the sweat glands
themselves. Another common cause of
foot sweating is heredity. It is very common
to see family members with similar
severity of the foot sweating condition.
The obvious symptom of excessive foot
sweating is the sweating of the soles of
the feet. Many other reasons can include
stress and anxiety, or even during intimate
moments. For people who suffer
from severe foot sweating though, the
condition can also occur with no real
reason at all.
Excessive foot sweating exists in many
different degrees. For people who suffer
from mild foot sweating, it is only a
little annoying to them, but they do not
consider it to be a big problem. More
severe forms of foot sweating can lead
to other diseases. For example, excessive
sweating of the feet can cause athelete’s
foot, bacterial infections, fungal
toenails or other skin problems.
There are many ways to treat excessive
foot sweating. The most basic
form of treatment is supportive
therapy, which should be used for
every severity types of foot sweating.
It involves using absorbent foot
powders, and changing shoes and
socks more frequently. More severe
types of foot sweating may need to
be treated with medications like Drysol
or iontophoresis. Most of these
treatment methods are expensive,
and I’ve personally tried injections,
but to no avail.
There are natural remedies to cure
excessive foot sweating though. As
an excessive hyperhidrosis sufferer, I
used a natural method that has significantly
reduced my sweating after the
course of applying the method for a
few weeks. If you suffer from excessive
foot sweating, you should look to
find out its causes and cure it quickly,
before it results in the other conditions
that I have described above.
Foot warts are a type of warts that
can be found at the bottom of the
foot. A foot wart is about 1cm in diameter
and is generally paler than the
nearby skin. It has tiny black dots at
the centre.
Foot warts have the tendency to group
together into clusters. Because it is
at the bottom of the foot, this type of
wart is generally quite flat.
Sometimes it may cause pain because
of the constant pressure exerted when
walking. Furthermore, because of this
constant pressure, it has the tendency
to grow back inside the foot.
A foot wart is also known by the name
of plantar wart. The medical name for
this type of wart is ‘verruca plantaris’
or just ‘verruca’.
The human papilloma virus or HPV
causes foot warts. This virus is responsible
also for other type of warts. The
human papilloma virus can enter your
skin from little cuts or scratches.
Unfortunately this virus is also contagious
and so you may get foot warts
from getting this virus from another
individual. Objects that are touched by
another individual that carries this virus
may also be contagious.
The human papilloma virus dwells in
wet and warm habitats. So bathrooms
and swimming pool areas are excellent
habitats for this virus. It is a good idea
to take appropriate caution and as much
and not walk barefooted in these areas.
Furthermore if you have this type of
wart do not scratch it and then touch
other parts of your body. Pay particular
attention not to scratch it with your other
foot since this may also increase the
chance of getting a foot wart on your
other foot as well.
There are many types of foot warts
treatments that can help you to treat
this type of wart. They include over the
counter wart removal treatments, surgical
wart removal treatment and home
treatments for warts.
