17 Weight Loss Tips
for the New Year
DAY SPA &
Massage Directory
Spoil yourself. Get Refreshed & Relaxed at any of
these great business locations!
1. Top bodybuilders never eat complex
carbohydrates for dinner or before
bed. Follow their example.
2. Go organic. Do you really need to
burden your body and pack in extra
chemicals into the fat cells?
3. Resolve to never skip breakfast.
4. Make it a point to learn the list of high
glycemic index foods, such as most
bread, popcorn, foods with more than
20 grams carbohydrate per serving,
jasmine rice, puffed rice products,
candy, and most protein bars. Remind
yourself that you’ll store fat for 18
hours after eating any of these foods.
5. Eat more protein. Your body functions
better on more protein. One research
study reported that eating 100 grams
protein per day increased the body’s
detoxification ability dramatically.
6. Use a pinch of sea salt with a few
meals a day. Sea salt has a complete
array of minerals that are easily absorbed
and utilized by the body.
7. Find a reason to work out. If you like
to dance, dance; if you like to cycle,
cycle. Let your passion drive your
movement.
8. Don’t go shopping if you’re hungry.
lease growth hormone, which helps
maintain muscle tone.
11. Place a bowl of raw vegetables on
your desk in the morning and make
a commitment to eat all of them by
the end of the day.
12. Avoid artificial sweeteners, which
can raise blood sugar levels or insulin
levels, resulting in an emotional
“crash” a few hours later.
13. Add one more 45 minute exercise
session per week.
14. Incorporate exercise into your vacation
activities.
15. Look into the mirror and tell yourself
you love every part of your body.
Talk to each body part and tell it what
you think about it. This may seem
crazy, but one informal study found
that people dropped weight much
quicker and their bad eating habits
stopped automatically as a result.
16. Set a goal for your weight loss. Post
it on your mirror in the bathroom
and on the refrigerator. Then imagine
how you will meet the goal.
