Come along and celebrate the history and heritage of Falinge on Saturday 11th July from 11am-3pm. Did you attend Falinge when
it was an all girls’ school, were you known as a pupil of Green Hill or Falinge Park?
The Falinge Heritage Fair will have a range of activities on the day- some of them including; the official launch of our ‘new’ school
building, an exhibition taking you back in time, traditional Victorian fair stalls, an assault course, games, food stalls and more!
There will also be activities in the Park on this day, including a heritage trail where you can win some fab prizes, including some
signed authentic sports merchandise from some famous and popular teams!
There are a limited number of stalls available for hire on the day for both local businesses and anyone who would like to sell . A £6
gesture of goodwill which will be required to confirm your space and go towards any costs incurred on the day. Please be aware that
there will be no access to services e.g. water, electricity etc. Traders will also need to have their certificates displayed on site for stalls
which are serving food etc and must have their own insurance.
In addition to this, if there are any ex pupils or teachers who have old photographs and would like them to be part of the exhibition
or would just like to be involved on the day, please contact Michelle Uddin via email at office@falingepark.com
On The Busses!
As we are all aware government cuts have devastated our local bus routes and
the most vulnerable are taking the brunt of the reductions in services. Two ward
councillors in Milnrow and Newhey are fighting back and have organised
activity with Transport for Greater Manchester to improve the services. A mail
drop in affected areas of the Ring & Ride scheme will show residents how to
access the service and the
development of; Local Link
will also provide a door to
door service for some
residents.
