CP Floater Nozzle ® and CP Combo ®
Installation and Operation
The CP Floater Nozzle ® and CP Combo ® are flood nozzles and can be used when flooding nozzles are appropriate.
Setup
Selector-to-seal tension is preset and held by the stainless steel nut to cause heavy drag, allowing rotation of selector while maintaining proper
seal during rotation. Mount nozzle so that arrow on nozzle housing is on top and nozzle body is oriented between 0˚ and 45˚ of parallel with the
ground. •Maximum 60" centers for REGULAR Volume •Maximum 40" centers for LOW Volume.
Orifice Selection/Shut-off and Deflector setting
Turn selector to desired orifice. With number close to arrow at top of nozzle, continue to turn selector until it clicks into place. Number should be
directly under arrow. For shut-off, selector handle should be in the 6 o’clock position, pointing straight down. Set up the 3-way deflector as follows:
smallest two orifices—“S” deflection • middle three orifices—“M” deflection • largest three orifices — “L” deflection. Care should be taken to line
up deflector mark with arrow on top of nozzle.
Using the nozzle
Determine desired GPM, appropriate orifice/deflector, pressure and speed for product label requirements and climactic conditions. Adjust orifice
and deflector, pressure and boom height to give 100% overlap at the target—either ground or crop canopy.
