Management<br />
If possible, m<strong>on</strong>itor<br />
serum pancreatic<br />
amylase, lipase. All<br />
ART should be<br />
stopped until<br />
symptoms resolve.<br />
Restart ART with<br />
change to different<br />
NRTI, preferably <strong>on</strong>e<br />
without pancreatic<br />
toxicity (e.g., ZDV,<br />
ABC).<br />
Disc<strong>on</strong>tinue all ARVs;<br />
symptoms may<br />
c<strong>on</strong>tinue or worsen<br />
after disc<strong>on</strong>tinuati<strong>on</strong><br />
of ART. Administer<br />
supportive therapy.<br />
Regimens that can be<br />
c<strong>on</strong>sidered for<br />
restarting ART include<br />
a PI combined with<br />
NNRTI and possibly<br />
either ABC or TFV<br />
Stop all ARVs until<br />
symptoms resolve. The<br />
reacti<strong>on</strong> progressively<br />
worsens with<br />
c<strong>on</strong>tinued drug<br />
