1200 mg (8 caps.) APV + 200 (2 caps.) mg RTV <strong>on</strong>ce daily<br />

Children: capsules: 20 mg/kg every 12 hours or 15 mg/kg three<br />

times daily (total dosage should not exceed a total of<br />

1200 mg every 12 hours)<br />

oral soluti<strong>on</strong>: 22.5 mg/kg every 12 hours or 17 mg/kg<br />

three times daily total dosage should not exceed a<br />

total of 1400 mg every 12 hours) (see warning below)<br />

Amprenavir is 14% less bioavailable from the liquid formulati<strong>on</strong> than from the<br />

capsules; therefore Amprenavir capsules and Amprenavir oral soluti<strong>on</strong> are not<br />

interchangeable <strong>on</strong> a milligram-per-milligram basis.<br />

Food effect<br />

It can be taken with or without food; high fat meal should be avoided.<br />
