Sample Revolution Configuration Display3.1.2 EDP Command ConfigurationThe EDP command set can be used to configure the<strong>IQ</strong> plus <strong>800</strong>/<strong>810</strong> indicators using either a personalcomputer, terminal, or remote keyboard. LikeRevolution, EDP command configuration sendscommands to the indicator EDP port; unlikeRevolution, EDP commands can be sent using anyexternal device capable of sending ASCII charactersover a serial connection.EDP commands duplicate the functions availableusing the indicator front panel and provide somefunctions not otherwise available. EDP commands canbe used to simulate pressing front panel keys, toconfigure the indicator, or to dump lists of parametersettings. See Section 6.0 for more information aboutusing the EDP command set.3.1.3 Front Panel ConfigurationThe <strong>IQ</strong> plus <strong>800</strong>/<strong>810</strong> indicators can be configured using a series of menus accessed through the indicator frontpanel when the indicator is in setup mode. Table 3-1 provides a summary of the configuration functions providedby each of these menus.MenuMenu FunctionCONFIG Configuration Configure input channels and select general indicator functions.
