SECTION 6 – CORRIDOR MANAGEMENT ENTITY<strong>GREEN</strong> <strong>MOUNTAIN</strong> <strong>SCENIC</strong> <strong>BYWAY</strong> CORRIDOR MANAGEMENT ENTITYThe Corridor Management Entity (CME) will serve as the caretaker of the scenic corridor byensuring that the vision and intent of the scenic highway program is accomplished withinthe corridor. The CME will also ensure that the Action Plan is executed in a timely mannerand that all activities along the corridor are monitored and implemented in accordance withthe Corridor Management Plan.At the June 12, 2003 meeting, the CAG decided that upon designation, the CME wouldcontinue with the current CAG format of monthly public meetings, and initiateimplementation of the Corridor Management Plan through partnering with the County for aperiod of time (at least 6 months) and reconsider the options at that time. The CAG alsodecided to incorporate as a 501(c)3. CAG members present at the meeting were polledindividually and agreed to become members of the CME. Six CAG members also agreed tosit on the CME board of directors, although it was decided to wait upon incorporation toformally elect the board and officers. The following by-laws for the CME were approved.However, once the <strong>GREEN</strong> <strong>MOUNTAIN</strong> <strong>SCENIC</strong> <strong>BYWAY</strong> COMMITTEE incorporates, thesebylaws may be amended.The Corridor Management Entity will be known as the <strong>GREEN</strong> <strong>MOUNTAIN</strong> <strong>SCENIC</strong> <strong>BYWAY</strong>COMMITTEE.Green Mountain <strong>Scenic</strong> Byway Corridor Management Entity AgreementBY-LAWS OF THE <strong>GREEN</strong> <strong>MOUNTAIN</strong> <strong>SCENIC</strong> <strong>BYWAY</strong> COMMITTEEINTRODUCTIONThese By-Laws constitute the rules and procedures adopted by the <strong>GREEN</strong> <strong>MOUNTAIN</strong><strong>SCENIC</strong> <strong>BYWAY</strong> COMMITTEE for the regulation and management of its affairs.ARTICLE I: PURPOSES AND POWERSThis <strong>GREEN</strong> <strong>MOUNTAIN</strong> <strong>SCENIC</strong> <strong>BYWAY</strong> COMMITTEE will have the purposes or powers asmay be stated in its articles of incorporation and such powers as are now or may begranted hereafter by law.(a)The specific and primary purpose for which the <strong>GREEN</strong> <strong>MOUNTAIN</strong> <strong>SCENIC</strong><strong>BYWAY</strong> COMMITTEE is to maintain a Corridor Management Plan for the GreenMountain <strong>Scenic</strong> Byway in Lake County, <strong>Florida</strong>; to promote the preservation andbeautification of this most significant, historic, recreational, scenic and naturalresource; to promote positive managed development of this highway andadjacent properties; and to serve as a vehicle for community input to express theviews and desires of the public for the preservation of the highway.23
