Established 1986GERTRUDE PHELPS CARLSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND [1TA164]Bequest <strong>of</strong> Oscar Carlson <strong>in</strong> memory <strong>of</strong> his wife. The purpose <strong>of</strong> the fund is to provide scholarships to UNH students with f<strong>in</strong>ancial need. The F<strong>in</strong>ancial AidOffice shall adm<strong>in</strong>ister the scholarship. More than one student may be chosen to receive this award each year. The amount <strong>of</strong> the award should be consistentwith each student’s f<strong>in</strong>ancial need as determ<strong>in</strong>ed by the F<strong>in</strong>ancial Aid Office, <strong>and</strong> not <strong>in</strong> excess <strong>of</strong> such need. It is the donor’s desire that each award besubstantial <strong>in</strong> size so as to meet as much as possible <strong>of</strong> a student’s need rather than be m<strong>in</strong>imized <strong>in</strong>to many small awards. Awards may be cont<strong>in</strong>ued for arecipient for more than one year. Out <strong>of</strong> state <strong>and</strong> NH residents shall be considered on an equal basis. Sophomore, juniors <strong>and</strong> seniors must have a gradepo<strong>in</strong>t <strong>of</strong> at least 3.2 <strong>and</strong> freshmen must have graduated with<strong>in</strong> the top 10% <strong>of</strong> their high school class. The recipient must have a potential for leadership.Established 1992GLADYS BROOKS ENDOWMENT FUND [1TL001]This fund established for the purpose <strong>of</strong> purchas<strong>in</strong>g books <strong>and</strong> periodicals <strong>in</strong> the Humanities.
