Income is to be used to provide ascholarship each year for a needy <strong>and</strong> deserv<strong>in</strong>g student who has shown evidence <strong>of</strong> satisfactory scholarship <strong>and</strong> exceptional qualities <strong>of</strong> character <strong>and</strong>leadership. Established 1952WARREN BROWN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1TS002]Established by gifts from family <strong>and</strong> friends, <strong>in</strong>come to be used for an annual scholarship award to undergraduate students engaged <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>tercollegiate sportswith preference given to hockey. F<strong>in</strong>ancial need is a factor. Recipients will be chosen at the end <strong>of</strong> the sophomore year, with the award to be given dur<strong>in</strong>gthe junior year. Selection will be made by the Director <strong>of</strong> Intercollegiate Athletics <strong>and</strong> the F<strong>in</strong>ancial Aid Office on the basis <strong>of</strong> approximation <strong>of</strong> thequalities that made Warren Brown an outst<strong>and</strong><strong>in</strong>g person <strong>and</strong> an outst<strong>and</strong><strong>in</strong>g athlete, <strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong> f<strong>in</strong>ancial aid. SKOGLUND SCHOLARSHIP FUND [1TS007]Fund established to provide assistance to full time undergraduate students at UNH with preference to those enrolled <strong>in</strong> the College <strong>of</strong> Life Sciences <strong>and</strong>Agriculture. Recipient(s) must be a participant <strong>in</strong> an <strong>in</strong>tercollegiate athletic program. Both Women’s <strong>and</strong> Men’s Athletic programs will have a scholarshipavailable each year. The Directors will have the option <strong>of</strong> award<strong>in</strong>g more than one scholarship where the funds will be divided between the recipients by theF<strong>in</strong>ancial Aid Office. EDWARDS DEMING [1TD015]Income is only to be used to provide scholarship aid to a student who has achieved excellence <strong>in</strong> the field <strong>of</strong> statistics or alternately <strong>in</strong> mathematics.Established 1984WHITLOCK MUSIC EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND [1TC027]Established with gifts from the family <strong>and</strong> friends <strong>of</strong> John B. Whitlock, an associate pr<strong>of</strong>essor emeritus <strong>of</strong> music education at UNH. The purpose is toprovide an annual scholarship award to an outst<strong>and</strong><strong>in</strong>g music major that plans a career <strong>in</strong> music education. If there are no eligible students plann<strong>in</strong>g a career<strong>in</strong> music education <strong>in</strong> any given year, the award shall be given to an outst<strong>and</strong><strong>in</strong>g music major. The Chair <strong>of</strong> the Music Dept., <strong>in</strong> consultation withappropriate members <strong>of</strong> the Dept. Faculty, shall be responsible for the selection <strong>of</strong> scholarship recipients. Established 1999WILLIAM G.
