WVDP Phase 1 CSAPlocation representing the depth interval 1–2 m will be collected and this process repeateduntil contamination is vertically bounded.• If scans of soil bores/cores along the WMA boundary indicate intervals with elevatedactivity, the interval with the highest activity will be targeted for analysis.• If one or more soil cores locations along the southern WMA 2 excavation boundaryencounter either soil or groundwater contamination at depths greater than one meter, additional locations will be selected further to the south into WMA 12 to laterally boundcontamination.• For each set of buried infrastructure that is identified as a potential concern at least threetrenches that uncover the infrastructure will be scanned and sampled. If contaminationappears to extend laterally along the line of the infrastructure, additional sampling willtake place until contamination is bounded.B.10 ReferencesDOE 2008.
