WVDP Phase 1 CSAP• Backfill associated with the Interceptor Trench and Leachate Transfer Line will besampled. If contamination is encountered above CG w requirements, sampling willcontinue along the trench/line until contamination is bounded.• The WMA 7 surface soil area classification as contained in Figure G.17 will be adjustedbased on GWS results. These adjustments may affect systematic sample numberrequirements and will affect the placement of the initial round of systematic samplelocations.• Additional surface soil sampling may be required to laterally bound contamination abovesurface soil CG w requirements.• If any 15 cm-1 m soil interval encounters contamination above CG w requirements, additional deeper 1 m interval soil samples will be required for that location to determinevertical extent of contamination. If additional vertical samples are required, verticalsampling will continue until background activity concentrations are observed.• Based on the GWS results, locations from the two drainage features will be selected forsampling.• If any drainage feature sample encounters contamination above CG w requirements, additional systematic sampling from the ditch feature will be required to further definethe extent of contamination in the drainage feature.G.10 ReferencesDOE 2009.
