With final examinations loomingahead and their coming of age just aroundthe corner, this assembly was dedicated tothe Class of 2012 to celebrate theirwonderful achievements this year.The assembly opened with the annualspeeches from college principal, Mr TonySimpson, and our school captains for 2012,Kiera Riley and Jenk Umit. We hope thatthe wise words from Mr Simpson and ourbeloved school captains resonate with ourstudents.The assembly also honoured the studentsthat participated in the numerouscompetitions and extracurricular activitiesthat our college has to offer. Among thoseincluded the Australian Nation ChemistryQuiz, the Australian MathematicsCompetition, inter-school debating,numerous sporting events, and theparticipants of this year’s schoolproduction. Well done everyone!Of course, no farewell is completewithout any sentimental reflection. Tofulfil this necessity we had StephanieTedesco, Stephanie Bartolo and TheresaTran, students of the 2012 cohort, toaddress our soon-to-be graduates,followed by an entertaining videocapturing the unforgettable andremarkable moments of the Class of2012.This assembly, many more, would nothave been possible without the help ofour School Representative Council andthe supervision of Ms Dilip, as well asthe entertainment that is presentedwithout fail by our talented musicalperformers.
