Introduction1.1 About the componentsThe Programmer’s View (PV) models of processors and devices work at a level where functionalbehavior is equivalent to what a programmer would see using the respective hardware. Timingaccuracy is sacrificed to achieve fast simulation execution speeds. This means that you can usethe PV models for confirming software functionality, but you must not rely on the accuracy ofcycle counts, low-level component interactions, or other hardware-specific behavior.ARM DUI 0423N Copyright © 2008-2012 ARM.
