This is a single component that represents a Cortex-A9 multiprocessorcontaining from one to four processors. The xn in the component name indicates how manyprocessors are included in the component, so choose the one with the required number ofprocessors for your system. The component is based on r3p0 of the Cortex-A9 processor. Allvariants of the ARMCortexA9MPxnCT component are described in this section, the onlydifference being the number of processors. The ARMCortexA9MPxnCT component implements the following additional peripherals thatare not present in the basic Cortex-A9 processor:• Snoop Control Unit (SCU)• Generic Interrupt Controller (GIC)• private timer and watchdog for each processor• global timer• Advanced Coherency Port (ACP).These embedded peripherals are more fully documented elsewhere.
