Boehringer Ingelheim – The versatility of W modulesEven from the outside the staff restaurant at BoehringerIngelheim is an attractive sight with coloured LED lightstreaming from stylized trees. The T modules from<strong>Tridonic</strong> are used throughout the building to provide impressiveintelligent control.The spectacular lighting system is based on TeosP211-2 LED modules from <strong>Tridonic</strong> in red, green, blueand white. Four LED units located around the base ofthe “trunk” illuminate the trunk with a grazing light andfour further units mounted on the outer ring of the lightcupola highlight the “branches” in colored light. Each ofthese luminaires is installed on a tilt-and-swivel mountingand consists of eight Teos P211-2 LED modulesin red, green, blue and white with T lens O211spot lenses and divergence lenses for beam angles of10° x 40° and Tconverter K350 DALI RGB units.Versatile ingredientsTeos P211-2 units are also installed at the starterscounter and on the two-tier dessert counter. A curvedand folded aluminium section is used as a “spine”to which adjustable ribs are attached. These ribs thentake Teos P211-2 LED modules in warm whitewith T lens O211 spot lenses for focused lightand divergence lenses for broader coverage.Tconverter K240 24 V 100 W converters andTcontrol C001 and Tcontrol C350 controllersare mounted underneath the counter. The ribs canbe set at an angle of either 30° or 60° so the counterscan be perfectly lit on two levels.Thanks to their LED-specific properties the Tmodules are of great benefit at the BI vital counteras well.
