Teil zwei der »Goa Tribes« teilen sich
zwei DJs der FullOn Morning Fraktion:
Jackomo von der Schweizer PsyTrance
Garde und Tulla. Jackomo kennt man
als Aufleger israelischer Musik, und
so lässt er es in der ihm eigenen Qualität
satt und solide, gut sortiert und
brandneu angehen. Tulla serviert die
etwas herausragenderen und manchmal
auch poppigeren Tracks, dabei
Protocultures wunderbares »Hitched«
und Pop Streams Morning-Abräumer
»Beef« zusammen mit Triptych. Witzig,
dass beide DJs ihren Spaß mit dem
Future Prophecy Album hatten, mit
»Uni Sex« und »November Rain«
sind die beiden besten Tracks hier
eingewoben. Aber nur Millenniums
Herr Ligowski
wird wissen, wo
die auf dem Titel
angekündigten
progressiven
Tracks stecken ...
Part two of the
»Goa Tribes«
series is put together
by two well known DJ from the Full-on
morning sector: Tulla and our Swiss mate
Jackomo. Jackomo is famous for DJing
Israeli morning stuff, so his CD is a solid,
well done collection of tracks, brand new
and top quality. Tulla serves up the more
outstanding and occasionally somewhat
more poppy tracks, Protoculture‘s wonderful
»Hitched« is on it as is Pop Stream’s
glittering morning number »Beef« together
with Triptych. It‘s funny, both DJs had
»Tokyo – Tel Aviv« - V.A. (Noga Rec) CD
DJ Ziki, Israeli in Japan, erfreut uns mit
dem zweiten Teil seiner »Tokyo – Tel
Aviv«-Compilation, und wieder dürfte ihm
damit ein Stammplatz in den
Sommersets der DJs sicher sein.
Dies ist zweifelsohne Sound
für die großen PAs, druckvoll,
uplifting, psychedelisch-twisted
mit verspielten Acids, voller
Themenwechsel und vielen
witzigen Samples und höllisch
treibend wie druckvoll. Dabei,
auch wenn es mal richtig sägt
und kreischt, nie bösartig oder dunkel.
Wie in den Tracks selbst findet DJ Ziki
eine feine Balance zwischen dichten psychedelischen
Grooves für die Nacht und
aufgeräumten uplifting Trance-Schiebern
für den frühen Morgen sowie einigen
Tracks, die herrlich im Grau zwischen
Tag und Nacht schwimmen. Ganz selten
gibt es mal eine Compilation, auf der ich
nahezu jeden Track spielen würde, wenn
dann noch mindestens vier »Hits« mit
dabei sind, ist dies meine Kaufempfehlung
des Monats.

so it‘s no surprise to find it‘s two best
tracks »Uni Sex« and »November Rain«
both on the tracklist. But as to where the
progressive tracks promised on the cover
have got to, only Milleniums Herr Ligowski

Hong Kong, Drachen, Feen und ein Name,
der mich an mein Lieblingscomic Squee
DJ Ziki, an Israeli in Japan, delights us
with the second part of his »Tokyo – Tel
Aviv« compilation, and has herewith once
again secured his music
a regular place amongst
this summer’s DJ sets. This
is without a doubt music
for the big PAs, uplifting,
psychedelically twisted with
playful acid grooves, full of
theme changes and funny
samples and as hellishly
driving as it is impressive.
At the same time, even when it really
begins to serrate and screech, it’s never
dark or malicious. Just like he does in the
individual tracks themselves, DJ Ziki finds
a fine balance between flowing psychedelic
grooves for the night and ordered,
uplifting Trance hits for the early morning
as well as a few tracks that float nicely in
the twilight between day and night. It’s
very seldom that I would consider playing
nearly all the tracks on a compilation and
with at least four »hits«, this is my recommened
purchase for the month. (Tulla)
