Hong Kong, dragons, fairies and a name
that sounds like of one of my favourite
comics (Squee), meant that this CD was
one I couldn‘t wait to listen to. And wow,
was I in for a surprise. Funky, innovative,
playful, but most of all varied Psy, almost
every track on this compilation could fall
under a different style depending on who
you ask. A creative DJ could have some
fun with this CD, but I would strongly
recommend giving it a thorough listen
to first, definitely not one to just grab
from the bag and play. The Sonic Dragon
website describes their subdivision Faerie
Dragon as »the eclectic side« and I couldn‘t

V.A. (Yabai) CD
Ihrer furiosen ersten Compi stehen Yabai
in Japan mit ihrem zweiten Werk in
nichts nach. Ein vorzügliches Line Up mit
Beiträgen für die nächtlichen Psyfloors
von RAM, Scorb oder Digital Talk, das auf
jeden Fall hält, was es
verspricht. Kein wirklich
schlechter Track
befindet sich darauf
und von welcher
Compilation kann
man das heutzutage
noch behaupten?

After a furiously paced debut, Yabai
from Japan strike back with their second
compilation matching the standards set
by the original and with a line up just as
promising. Outstanding tracks contributed
by RAM, Scorb, Digital Talk or Seroxat,
who produced the title track »Sakura«,
make this disc a must have for psychedelic
night time Trance freaks. Not a bad track
to be found amongst them which is quite
rare nowadays! Yabai deserves phat
respect for bringing such a pearl to the

»GOA Vol. 16«
V.A. (Y.S.E.) 2CD
DJ Miraculix ist ein umtriebiger Bursche
und bringt schon wieder eine neue (die
16.) Compilation seiner »GOA«-Serie an
den Start. Diesmal hat er sich Gedanken
über den musikalisch perfekten Abend
und Tag gemacht, entsprechende Tracks
gesucht und in einen passenden Flow
gepackt. So fängt CD1 also noch recht
entspannt, aber schon druckvoll an, um
sich von Track zu Track durch die Stunden
der Nacht zu hangeln. Es wird mehr
und mehr nachttauglich, zuerst noch
uplifting und groovy, später dann treibend
und psychedelisch. Die letzten Tracks
wiederum eignen sich hervorragend für
mystische Momente im Morgengrauen.
CD2 widmet sich am Anfang den deepen
und progressiven Tracks für die lauschigen
Vor- und Nachmittage, aber auch hier wird
es wieder treibender, und so finden sich
ab der Mitte einige recht psychedelischer
Schieber, aber mit sonnigem Gemüt und
deshalb richtig auf der Tag-CD platziert.

himself busy and here he is launching
yet another (the 16th) compilation in his
»GOA« series. This time he’s concentrated
on finding the perfect music for night &
day, searched for
suitable tracks
and arranged
them into a nice
continuous flow.
Although CD1 starts off quite relaxed, it
still gets you going and swings from track
to track through the nighttime hours. It
gets gradually more and more nocturnal;
uplifting and groovy to begin with, then
becoming somewhat more pumping and
psychedelic. The final tracks then become
more suitable for the mystical moments
in the morning dawn. CD2 starts of with
deep and progressive tracks dedicated to
the mellow late morning/ afternoon hours,
becoming gradually more driving and from
the middle it becomes really psychedelic,
however it maintains a cheerful vibe and is
therefore ideal as a daytime disc. (Tulla)
