In <strong>the</strong> period 1991 <strong>to</strong> 2001, <strong>the</strong> population of <strong>Liverpool</strong> increased by approximately 56,000people, an increase of 60% over 1991 levels. This is <strong>the</strong> highest growth recorded in <strong>NSW</strong>. Infuture, population growth will continue in <strong>Liverpool</strong> as new residential zoned areas arereleased for development, as well as from changes in demographics. By 2019, with aprojected population of around 260,000 people, <strong>Liverpool</strong> is expected <strong>to</strong> be <strong>the</strong> second mostpopulous LGA in Sydney, behind Black<strong>to</strong>wn.3.2.2 Demographic Profile<strong>Liverpool</strong> is a young and culturally diverse municipality.
