Boardinghouse: premises other than a hotel, restaurant, or congregate living facility where meals andlodging are furnished for compensation to seven or more persons unrelated to the owner <strong>of</strong> the premisesby marriage, birth, or legal adoption.Boathouse: means a structure designed solely for the protection or storage <strong>of</strong> watercraft.Box or cabinet sign: Any sign, the face <strong>of</strong> which is enclosed, bordered or contained within a box-likestructure, frame, or other device.Breakaway wall: means a partition that is not part <strong>of</strong> the structural support <strong>of</strong> the building and is intendedthrough its design and construction to collapse under specific lateral loading forces without causingdamage to the elevated portion <strong>of</strong> the building or the supporting foundation system.Break point: location on a communication tower <strong>of</strong> a designed feature which, in the event <strong>of</strong> a towerfailure, would result in the tower falling entirely within the boundaries <strong>of</strong> the property on which it islocated.Buffer: upland areas adjacent to wetlands which are necessary to protect the wetlands and wetlandspecies from the detrimental impacts <strong>of</strong> development or alteration.
