PittwaterCouncil has been invited onto the Steering Committee of the Sydney CoastalCouncils Group Capacity Building Program.- The partnership between Scout leader Rick Shires and the Coastal EnvironmentNatural EnvironmentCentre saw the Ingleside Scout Camp transformed into a regional centre for& Educationenvironmental education in the scouting movement. The Ingleside Scout Campwas announced a winner of the 2009 Hawkesbury-Nepean Landcare Awards inthe ‘landcare education’ category for their outstanding environmental contribution.Educators at the Coastal Environment Centre have worked closely with the InglesideScouts for many years.- Ongoing and further development of partnerships program will be undertaken as a2009-10 action.Review of the Disaster and Emergency Management Plan currently under review inconjunction with the Local Emergency Management Committee.Coordinated links to agency web sites reviewed on a monthly basis to ensureconsistency.Urban InfrastructureUrban Infrastructure98
