With only one-halfthe number of pins, bushings , and rollers, double-pitch chains are lighter and moreeconomical than standard roller chains and are ideal for slow and moderate speedapplications, particularly when shaft centers are relatively long.Sprockets • Sprockets for double-pitch drive chains are normally furnished with twotimes the number of teeth required to contact the chain.
