For coupl<strong>in</strong>g HDPE/PLB pipes/ coils, HDPE sockets as per IS 4984-1995 (‘()’ r<strong>in</strong>g<br />
type) made of High Density Polyethylene 50’) or equivalent <strong>in</strong>jection trade material<br />
should be used. The HDPE sockets should be black <strong>in</strong> colour and should be fitted<br />
with hand rubber r<strong>in</strong>gs at both ands and should confirm to GR No. G/CDS-05/01<br />
dated December, 1994 and revised up to date. 5mm x 5 mm projections <strong>in</strong>side at<br />
the centre of the socket should be provided to pr event the pipes from pass<strong>in</strong>g<br />
through. It should weigh 150 gm (with a tolerance of 1/- 5%) and should be able to<br />
withstand the pressure of 10 kg per sq. cm . Without any damage/ deterioration <strong>in</strong><br />
per<strong>for</strong>mance. (See figure ‘1’ <strong>for</strong> details)<br />
