and edges, mended with tape. One of 1381 numbered copies signed by Cummings in the
entire edition, a number determined by prepublication orders. Cummings’s experimental
journal of his visit to the Soviet Union. $500

This is a presentation copy, inscribed by Cummings in 1955 on the first leaf to Elizabetth
Kray, co-founder (with Stanley Kunitz) of Poet’s House in New York. In addition,
Cummings has penned the following disclaimer on the title page, with arrow pointing at
Shahn’s frontispiece: “not my fault.” $500
