for Women Writers” at Widdemer’s apartment in honor <strong>of</strong> Dorothy Canfield Fisher that<br />
featured a talk by Fisher. Widdemer has inscribed the invitation noting: “Dorothy Thompson<br />
will talk too — and we hope for Pearl Buck.” <strong>The</strong> verso <strong>of</strong> this card has been annotated by<br />
Mrs. <strong>Bullock</strong> in pencil, presumably in reaction to the speeches made at the event. $100
