and dust jacket. Fine. One of only 20 copies, specially printed on a different paper from the
ordinary edition by the Overbrook Press. This copy has been inscribed by the publisher
James Laughlin: “To Marie Bullock, Partisan of Poetry, from J Laughlin, 1943.” Laid in is
an autograph card from Laughlin: “I want you to have one of these special copies of the
Pindar - only 20 printed on Mr. Altschul’s private paper. You can have your binder do it up
for you in your own style.” A very scarce, indeed apparently unrecorded, state of this
publication in the Poets of the Month series. $350
