Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value:An Issue for <strong>the</strong> Union and <strong>the</strong> IFJAction:The Gender Council should <strong>in</strong>itiate a campaign on equal pay.The campaign should be organised at regional and national level andshould focus on achiev<strong>in</strong>g equal pay for women <strong>in</strong> practice. The IFJshould prepare a best practice survey on equal pay and circulate <strong>the</strong><strong>in</strong>formation to member unions for action at national level. The IFJ should co-ord<strong>in</strong>ate <strong>the</strong> campaign with <strong>the</strong> InternationalConfederation of Free Trade Unions (represent<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> trade unioncentres).
