DOMESTIC AWARD REDEMTION POLICY DURING
VIETNAM’S LUNAR NEW YEAR PERIOD (TET)
From 2013, Golden Lotus Plus members
are entitled to redeem awards on
certain domestic routes in the peak period
of Tet, or Vietnamese Lunar New
Year festival, with miles deducted as
twice as in off-peak periods.
Peak periods:
❉ Before Tet: from December 23rd to
January 3rd in lunar calendar;
❉ After Tet: from January 4th to January
12th in lunar calendar.
Applicable routes:
❉ Before Tet: From Ho Chi Minh City
to Hanoi/Hue/DaNang/Hai Phong/Vinh;
❉ After Tet: From Hanoi/Hue/Da
Nang/Hai Phong/Vinh to Ho Chi Minh
City.
Conditions of application:
❉ Award tickets in Tet peak period must
comply with rules and conditions of the
Golden Lotus Plus Program;
❉ Award tickets issued for flights in Tet
peak period are allowed to rebook
(pending seat availability) with a charge
of VND 600,000 per transaction made
within Vietnam, or USD 30 per transaction
made outside Vietnam.
