Scheme of Service<br />
Depending on your eligibility, you will<br />
undergo one of the following basic<br />
training courses:<br />
• PNS Offi cer Cadets’ Course (OCC)<br />
• Modifi ed Police Offi cers Basic Course<br />
(POBC) (for PES C2 and C9)<br />
• POBC for Special Constable<br />
(for PES A, B1, B2, & BP)<br />
• POBC for Vigilante Corps<br />

3.1 PNS Offi cer Cadets’ Course<br />
Those who satisfy the educational, health and physical requirements and who have<br />
displayed leadership qualities in their school co-curricular activities (CCAs) will be<br />
selected to become PNS Offi cer Cadets (OCTs).<br />
After Basic Military Training (BMT) in the Singapore Armed Forces, you will undergo<br />
a 32-week residential Offi cer Cadets’ Course (OCC) at the Training Command, in<br />
the Home Team Academy, as an Offi cer Cadet. Police Offi cer Trainees who have<br />
performed very well for the Police Offi cers’ Basic Course may also be selected for<br />
the OCC. The OCC curriculum includes the following subjects:<br />
