TENTATIVE ITINERARY FOR LONDON SHOW TOURDAY 1DAY 2DAY 3DAY 4DEPARTURE. We depart this eveningwith Air Transat (all Canadian gateways flyvia Toronto).ARRIVAL LONDON. We arrive atHeathrow airport in the morning andtransfer to our hotel. The balance of theday is free and this evening is ourWelcome Dinner.LONDON TOUR / THEATRE. Today'spanoramic guided tour begins with themajor highlights: Big Ben, Tower ofLondon, Westminster Abbey, TrafalgarSquare, Canadian War Memorial, TowerBridge, Houses of Parliament and more.This evening is our first night at thetheatre.BUCKINGHAM PALACE / THEATRE.This morning we visit Buckingham Palace,the official residence of the Queen whichserves as her London home and offices.You will see many of the magnificentstaterooms that form the heart of thisworking palace. They are usedextensively by the Queen and members ofher family to receive and entertain guestson state and ceremonial occasions. Youwill exit the palace through the gardens,which afford great views of the palaceitself and of the 19th century Lake.This evening is our 2nd theatre night.DAY 7DAY 8After our visit of Oxford we travel into thegreen countryside and visit an area callThe Cotswolds. This area is very typicalEnglish countryside with its many smalltowns and villages nestling in the valleysand on wooded hillsides. We will stop atone of them to enjoy a traditional publunch, and we will explore a few othertypical towns in this area as well.WINDSOR / THEATRE. This morning wevisit Windsor and the castle that has been"home" to English monarchs for almost1,000 years. It is said to be the Queen'sfavourite residence. We will also visitRunnymede (site of the signing of theMagna Carta) and also make a brief stopat the R.A.F. Memorial, which overlooksscenic countryside. This evening is ourfinal theatre night.COVENT GARDEN & WESTMINSTERABBEY. Today we first visit one of theliveliest districts in London. Originally aflower market, Covent Garden has evolvedinto an area of stylish shops, market stalls,cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs, not tomention the many entertaining streetperformers. There will be time here to visitthe Actor's Church or one of the nearbygalleries - the National Art Gallery inTrafalgar Square and the National PortraitGallery are both nearby.DAY 5LONDON AT LEISURE. A day to exploreLondon on your own. Your expert TourManager will be on hand to offersuggestions on the limitless activitiesavailable in London.From Covent Garden we continue on toWesminster Abbey for a guided tour. Thislarge and impressive Gothic church wasthe traditional place of coronation andburial site for English monarchs.DAY 6OXFORD / COTSWOLDS. We first visitthe university town of Oxford. For over900 years Oxford has been home toroyalty and scholars. We will enjoy awalking tour on which we see several ofthe 30 colleges and their picture-perfectcourtyards. If possible we will tour one ofthem.DAY 9Our Farewell dinner is tonight.HOME. We fly home to <strong>Canada</strong>.17.
