Wetravel through the lovely scenery of NewYork State and arrive at our stopover point,Albany, the state capital.After breakfast we proceed to Cape Cod.Enroute we’ll stop at America's HomeTown - Plymouth, where the Pilgrims firstsettled in 1620. A picture stop will bemade at the Plymouth Rock, Forefather'sMonument and the Mayflower II - areproduction of the ship that transportedthe Pilgrims to the New World. Our hotel isin South Yarmouth. This evening we willenjoy our first dinner on the Cape.This morning we will enjoy a cruise toNantucket Island which, for 100 years,was the greatest whaling centre in theworld. Today it is a picturesque island ofbeautifully preserved homes, cobblestonestreets and unique charm. Enjoy a tour ofthe island and then free time for browsingthe galleries, shops and museums beforewe return to the Cape.Tonight we enjoy a special lobster dinner(with alternative entrees available uponrequest).Today we visit Newport, Rhode Island,which is best known for its opulentmansions built by America’s rich andfamous of the 1890’s, many of which arenow museums. Admission to oneof the mansions is included.DAY 5DAY 6DAY 7A full day of exploring Cape Cod,beginning in the Cape’s hub, Hyannis.Here we stop at the Kennedy Memorial,then drive along Main Street, through thevillage of Hyannisport - home of thefamous St. Francis Xavier Church andalso the Kennedy Compound. We thentravel along historic Route 6, stopping onthe way at the Eastham Windmill and atypical Cape Cod lighthouse. Drivingthrough the Cape Cod National Seashorewe reach the historic North Shore andspend some time in Provincetown. Thischarming town was the scene of the firstlanding of the Pilgrims, and is now an artcolony with many fascinating sights andshopping boutiques. In Provincetown weboard a boat for a whale watchingexcursion, led by a naturalist who willprovide commentary on the various marinelife we will see during our cruise.We depart the Cape for Boston, perhapsAmerica’s most historic city. We will enjoya guided tour of the various historicallandmarks for which this city is famous,such as Back Bay, Beacon Hill, BostonCommon, the Public Gardens and theoriginal site of Cheers. There will be sometime for lunch and shopping at Boston'sfamous Quincy Market. Then we travelthrough the charming villages andcountryside of Massachusetts until wearrive back in Albany for our dinner andovernight.We continue our journey homeward via theduty-free shop, taking with us fondmemories of beautiful Cape Cod.Tonight we will enjoy dinner andentertainment.81.
