The ship docks at Livorno, andfrom here you may join an optionalexcursion to Pisa and its extraordinaryleaning tower, and/or the beautiful city ofFlorence, where every square, church andancient building can be viewed as a workof art. Visit the ancient ruins of Akrotiri tolearn more of her history and later shop inthe town of Fira.ATHENS, GREECE. We dock at Piraeus,a bustling and picturesque port town inwhich to wander and shop. If you take theoptional tour to Athens, you will see themost famous archaeological site in theworld - the hill of the Acropolis, which isdominated by the Parthenon - the sacredtemple of Athena.DAY 9 MYKONOS, GREECE. We arrive in Split,perhaps the most beautiful port on theAdriatic Sea. Split is both Croatia's secondlargest city and its cultural capital. The citywas developed more than 1700 years agoaround the ancient palace of the RomanEmperor Diocletian. Enjoy strolling in thepedestrian Old Town of this historic andpicturesque Dalmatian jewel.DAY 13 VENICE, ITALY. Venice is built on 118islands, criss-crossed by 160 canals andlinked by 400 foot bridges. There are noroads, only canals, and no traffic except forwater taxis and gondolas. Our shipovernights here so there is time to absorbthe city's unusual sights, sounds andunique Byzantine atmosphere.DAY 14 VENICE. We disembark our ship in Veniceand begin our city sightseeing tour. We willsee St. Mark’s Square, Bridge of Sighs,Doge’s Palace and much more. There willbe time at leisure in the afternoon forexploring on your own. This evening weenjoy our Farewell Dinner at the hotelDAY 15 HOME. We fly home from via Paris.45.
