TENTATIVE ITINERARY FOR CHICAGODAY 1DAY 2DEPARTURE / LANSING (MICHIGAN).We depart from pre-determined pick-uppoints in the Toronto / Hamilton area andcross the border into the US with anopportunity to purchase Duty-Free. Wearrive in Lansing in the late afternoonwhere we will have our dinner andovernight.LANSING / CHICAGO. This morning weenjoy a tour of Lansing, including itslandmark Capital Building, beforetravelling to Kalamazoo for some freetime for lunch. We then continue toChicago and check into our centrallylocated hotel. The remainder of the day isat leisure until our Welcome Dinner thisevening at a local restaurant.DAY 5CHICAGO. We start our day with a visit ofthe Art Institute of Chicago, followed byfree time in Millennium Park to have lunchand enjoy the art and architecture(including the famous Clouds Gate). Thisafternoon we sit back and relax as weembark on a cruise through the heart ofthe city. This in-depth tour traces thehistory, innovations and visionaries thatcreated the finest examples of urbanarchitecture in the world. After learningabout the unique buildings andarchitecture along the Chicago River wewill venture out to Lake Michigan wherewe are treated to a rich view of the entireskyline.Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant.DAY 3CHICAGO. Our city tour of Chicago takesin the bustling downtown area and showsus several of Chicago's distinctneighborhoods. We stop at the SearsTower to visit the 103rd floor SkyWalkwith spectacular views of the city. Lunchtoday is at the famous Walnut Room inthe original Marshall Fields (now Macy’s)department store on State Street,followed by a guided tour of their flagshipstore. Dinner is on your own tonight – aperfect chance to try some of Chicago’sfamous deep dish pizza!DAY 6DAY 7LANSING. We enjoy a leisurely morningin Chcago with free time for last minuteshopping or sightseeing. In the afternoonwe depart for Lansing for our dinner andovernight.HOME. We head for home, stoppingagain at the Duty-Free, arriving in the lateafternoon.DAY 4CHICAGO. We depart for a morning tourof renowned architect Frank LloydWright’s Home and Studio, The afternoonis free to explore the fabulous“Magnificent Mile” - Chicago’s largestshopping district set amidst prestigiousand historic art deco buildings. Yourexperienced Tour Manager will be onhand to offer other suggstions as well.Tonight we attend the popular dinnertheatre Tommy Gun’s Garage, the originalSpeakeasy (the password for admission –“Little Jake Sent Me”)!91.
