TENTATIVE ITINERARY FOR THE MARITIMESDAY 1DAY 2DAY 3DAY 4DAY 5DAY 6DAY 7HALIFAX. We fly to Halifax and transfer toour downtown hotel. The balance of the dayis at your leisure.HALIFAX. On our city tour of Halifax ourkilted guide will tell tales of the past, presentand future of Nova Scotia's capital. Weenjoy a walk through the Victorian PublicGardens and a stop atop Citadel Hill to viewthe Harbour and downtown area. Afternoonat leisure. Our unique dinner this evening atthe Grafton Street Dinner Theatre featuresa musical comedy and waitstaff in periodcostume!PEGGY'S COVE / LUNENBERG /ANNAPOLIS VALLEY. Our first stop is atone of the most picturesque locations in theMaritimes, Peggy's Cove. This quaint, rusticcove is famous for its neat houses, barrenrocks, weathered wharves and a lighthousepoint that offers a sweeping view of theocean. Then we proceed to Lunenburg,home of the Bluenose, where we visit theFisheries Museum with its fine collection ofMaritime artifacts. We continue on to theAnnapolis Valley, with a stop at Grand Pre.ANNAPOLIS VALLEY / SAINT JOHN. Wetravel along the historic Evangeline Trailand visit an historic Acadian town along theway. We then board the Princess of Acadiaferry for a delightful cruise across the Bay ofFundy to the Loyalist City of Saint John.Dinner is at the Reversing Falls Restaurant.ST. ANDREW / SAINT JOHN. Thismorning’s tour of Saint John includes thefamous Loyalist Trail and the famousReversing Falls, where the ocean watersrushing upstream form a whirling, foamingtorrent. We spend the afternoon in thepicturesque town of St. Andrew where youwill have free time for lunch and shopping,then return to Saint John for our overnight.HOPEWELL ROCKS / MONCTON. Todaywe visit the impressive Hopewell Rocks.Take a moment to appreciate the intricaciesof nature and explore the quiet coves withflowerpot-shaped rock formations bearingsuch names as “Mother-in-Law”, “ET” and“Lover's Arch”. We continue to Moncton.PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND. After a stop atShediac, known as the "Lobster Capital ofDAY 8DAY 9DAY 10DAY 11DAY 12DAY 13the World", we drive across theConfederation Bridge to P.E.I. and our hotelin Charlottetown. The rest of the afternoonis free. This evening we enjoy a musicalperformance of “Anne of Green Gables” atthe Confederation Theatre.PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND. Our guidedtour of P.E.I. begins in Charlottetown andthe historic Province House, where theFathers of Confederation met to discuss ourDominion. We travel through the brightgreen rolling countryside and visit the homeof Anne of Green Gables at Cavendish, andthe famous wharf in North Rustico. Tonightwe will enjoy a lobster dinner at a localrestaurant (alternatives available).BADDECK. We return to Nova Scotia byferry and proceed to Baddeck, located inthe heart of Cape Breton's mostpicturesque area. In Baddeck we visit theBell Museum, where the famous inventorperfected his many inventions.CABOT TRAIL / BADDECK. A full day tourof the scenic Cabot Trail. Nature lovers andphotographers will have a field day with themeandering glens, rugged coastlines andthe constantly pounding surf.LOUISBOURG / HALIFAX. We proceed tothe impressive Fortress of Louisbourg for aguided visit. This National Historic Site wasthe largest historic reconstruction in<strong>Canada</strong>. Following our visit we return toHalifax.HALIFAX. This morning we visit Pier 21,an interactive exhibit recreating theimmigration experience. Innovative displays,evocative soundscapes and interactivetechnology are used. We then enjoy aninformative tour of Alexander Keith'sBrewery, the oldest working brewery inNorth America. After we learn about thebeer, the brewery and life in Halifax in 1863,we visit Stag's Head tavern to listen to toetapping music, play games and of coursesample Keith's finest ale. The afternoon willbe at leisure to explore the quaint areaknown as Fisherman’s Cove. This eveningis our Farewell Dinner.HOME. We transfer to the airport for ourflight home.7.
