TENTATIVE ITINERARY FOR ROCKY MOUNTAINEERDAY 1DAY 2DAY 3DAY 4VANCOUVER. We fly to Vancouver. Aftera brief city tour we will transfer to ourdowntown hotel. The rest of the day is atleisure until our Welcome Dinner.FRASER VALLEY TOUR /VANCOUVER. Our full day of touringbegins at the fishing village of Steveston,located on the South Arm of the FraserRiver, where we visit the Gulf of GeorgiaCannery Museum. Here a guide willexplain the history and importance of thefishing industry on the West Coast. Therewill be free time to explore the shops,check out the catch of the day on thefishing boats and have lunch. Then weproceed to the quaint village of FortLangley, part of a network of trading postsestablished by the Hudson's BayCompany on the Pacific Slope in the early19th century. Fort Langley has many artgalleries, studios and antique shops.NORTH SHORE TOUR / VANCOUVER.Our tour today takes us over the LionsGate Bridge to explore the delights ofVancouver's North Shore. We first stop atthe popular Capilano Suspension Bridgefor an opportunity to walk across the 230-foot high bridge perched above theCapilano Canyon. Our next adventure is agondola ride to the top of GrouseMountain, a mountaintop playground withpanoramic sea and city views. Lunch isincluded at the top of the mountain.ROCKY MOUNTAINEER / KAMLOOPS.Today we begin our journey aboard "TheMost Spectacular Train Trip in the World,"Breakfast and lunch are served onboard.On today’s full-day rail tour we will passthrough the fertile Fraser Valley and enjoythe natural beauty of the scenic FraserCanyon. One of the canyon's highlights isHell's Gate, where millions of gallons ofwater per minute rush through thenarrowest point of the canyon. Then,following the Thompson River we crossinto <strong>Canada</strong>'s arid interior, arrive in thecity of Kamloops and transfer to our hotel.Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant.DAY 5DAY 6DAY 7DAY 8DAY 9ROCKY MOUNTAINEER / JASPER. "AllAboard" as the Rocky Mountaineerdeparts and follows the Yellowhead Routeto the quaint town of Jasper. Breakfastand lunch are again served onboard. Thetrain follows the Thompson River alongthe rolling plateaus into the snowy peaksof the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains.View Pyramid Falls and the expansiveglaciers of the Albreda Icefields. As weenter the Rocky Mountain range we passby Mt. Robson, the highest peak in theCanadian Rockies. In the early eveningwe arrive in Jasper, transfer to our hoteland meet for our included dinner.JASPER. To begin the day we will begently transported into Jasper's alpinetundra on the Jasper Tramway, thelongest and highest guided aerialtramway in <strong>Canada</strong>. Enjoy the spectacularviews of six mountain ranges, glacial fedlakes, the Athabasca river and the scenicmountain town of Jasper. Then our coachwill take us along a beautiful stretch ofhighway teeming with wildlife to MaligneLake, where we will enjoy a narratedcruise on crystal blue waters, surroundedby summits of 10,000 ft. and higher! Thisarea is called the “Hall of the Gods”. Thecruise features a fantastic view of SpiritIsland - one of the most photographedsites in the Canadian Rockies.JASPER. Our full day of wonderful RockyMountain experiences begins with anInterpretive Nature Walk conducted by anaccredited local expert. In the afternoonwe embark on a leisurely float trip downthe Athabasca River, a route used by thefur traders. Here we will experienceJasper from a unique perspective as ourguide will point out the natural and historicpoints of interest, as we take in thespectacular Rocky Mountain views oneither side of us. Dinner is included tonightEDMONTON. We transfer to Edmonton,where we will have an afternoon at leisure(for those who want to visit the renownedEdmonton Mall) and our Farewell Dinner.HOME.
