EuroMaint Industry
The past year has been turbulent. a lot has happened
– both good and bad. The Production Equipment
product area has reported lower sales volumes while
other areas have enjoyed successes, in particular
Maintenance where we have developed the new
Total Service Concept, TSC.
The first major development of the year was the launch of EuroMaint
Industry as a new brand, a presentation that took place at the maintenance
fair Underhåll in Gothenburg. In the early summer we were
forced to give notice of redundancies. Later in the year we managed to
turn the trend around and we are now standing strong for the future.
For productivity and competitiveness
The sharp decline in sales of production equipment was a decrease
from a high level compared with the record years of 2004 and 2005,
when one of our major customers carried out an extensive investment
programme. At the same time as we were forced to announce
redundancies, we experienced a change in demand in the other
product areas.
Our unique combination of specialist know-how in maintenance
and production enables us to work on several fronts to raise customers’
productivity and competitiveness. A comprehensive focus on further
developing and re-orienting personnel expertise has strengthened
our position, as has the recruitment of a number of personnel to
strengthen our specialist expertise in the growth areas we have great
faith in for the future.
Our new Total Service Concept
The Total Service Concept, TSC, is based on our core expertise in
production streamlining and enables us to offer outsourcing contracts
for maintaining all or parts of a customer’s production facilities. This
is in line with modern thinking as demonstrated by the developments
we see around us. Industry is working at high capacity, while at the
same time cost-cutting and productivity-raising programmes are
being implemented to further strengthen competitiveness. More and
more companies are choosing to buy external services, to increase
both profitability and flexibility.
This trend confirms that our major initiative during the year to
develop TSC is on target and attractive to industry.

Breadth, depth and total
approach to component servicing
In 2006, EuroMaint Industry took over sales and business responsibility
for the part of EuroMaint Rail’s operation in Åmål which focuses
on the energy sector and the processing industry. We were therefore
able to welcome new customers. The expertise and resources for
servicing everything from circuit boards to enormous electric engines
have broadened our offering and also laid the foundation for a total
offering in the form of availability contracts for reserve units.
