5 Admissions Self-ServiceSetting Up Admissions Self-ServiceLabel Description Processing NotesDEGRLEVL Degree Level Codes Degree Level Codes are used to describe the generic levelof a degree, and the EDI values delivered roughlycorrespond to the values in the Degree Award CategoryCode Validation Form (STVACAT). These values are usedonly when defining the EDI Curriculum Cross-ReferenceRules. Update the Banner value to the correspondingvalue from STVACAT. (The Banner value will normally bethe EDI value without the period.) Do not check (set to Y)the Web (Indicator) on SOAXREF, as these values are notused to control Web pulldown lists, but only to define validcross-reference values for building curriculum crossreferencerules.FSTYIDQL Field of Stdy Qualifier Codes Field of Study Qualifier Codes are used only to specify thecode set which is used to describe field of study choices.No action is required on any of these rules for Webprocessing. However, one of these values will be associatedwith the rules for label STVMAJR where it will identify thecode set used to define valid major code choices.GENDER Gender Codes Gender Codes are used to define the Banner equivalentfor EDI gender values. Three values are delivered. Noaction is required on any of these rules for Webprocessing.STVCITZ Citizenship Type Codes Values in the Citizenship Type Code label are used tocustomize the citizenship types which will be available forWeb selection. For each value which should be Webenabled,set its Web (Indicator) to checked (set to Y) andenter the appropriate Banner value from STVCITZ. If allvalues from STVCITZ should be displayed, then noneneed be entered here.STVDEGC Degree Level-Degree Code For Web application processing, you can identify specificdegree codes to be available for Web selection. In thiscase, you default values in the EDI value column which donot represent EDI Degree Level Codes, set the (EDI)Standard (Indicator) to unchecked (set to N), and enterthe appropriate Banner value for the specific degree codesto be made available.
