To access Student Self-Service, the student selects the Student & Financial Aidlink.The system displays the Student & Financial Aid menu.Static Display of InformationThe following information is displayed on all pages:• ID and name• Term description or date range/range of terms• System date and timeFor example:123456789 Oliver SkarSpring 2003 (200333)March 21, 2003 08:01 pmThis is controlled by the style sheet and creates a place where the user can easily seethe period of time to which the information being accessed is referring, the systemdate and time, and the ID and name to ensure her or she is correctly logged in.Long Titles and DescriptionsYour institution can enter long course and section titles (up to 100 characters) andlong course and section descriptions in Banner and choose to have them displayedon the Web. Titles can entered on the following forms:• Basic Course Information Form (SCACRSE) (base course title, required)• Course Syllabus Form (SCASYLB) (long course title, optional)• Schedule Form (SSASECT) (modified section title, optional)• Section Syllabus Form (SSASYLB) (long section title, optional)If you want to display long titles on the Web, you must take the following actions inthe Web Display Controls window of the Term Control Form (SOATERM).• To display long course titles, select the Display Long Course Title checkbox.• To display long section titles, select the Display Long Section Title checkbox.May 2006 Student Self-Service Release 7.3Confidential User Guide 1-9
