The secret of sujood is annihilation.TASHAHHUD (Testifying)At the beginning of salaa in the adhan and iqama it ispreparation to enter in the situation of eiman and t’aqquli –contemplation. After sujood it is tahaqquqi – Realisation ofthe truth and it’s confirmation. As the sujood is annihilation,one comes to the world of wakefulness with tashahhud andsalaam.SALAAMImam Sadiq (A.S.) has said: “The meaning of the salaam at theend of each salaa is security… As-Salaam is one of theattributes of Allah. He trusted it to His creatures so that theymay use its concept in their transactions, trusts……If you wishto use the salaam in it’s proper place… you must be Godconscience, and your religion, heart and mind should besecure….. Both your friend and your enemy should also besecure from you…..”In a single phrase إََِّبكَ‏ ‏َّعِجُذُ‏ practical tawheed is manifested ina profound way – ibada with purity of intention. Theexclusivity given by the word ‘Iyyaka’ points to theexclusiveness of Ibada to Allah and the plural pronoun in ‘weworship’ is focused on the construction of the human beingwhich can only be within the realm of others – in a society.There are 7 things which stop us from reaching to this stage ofibada by causing resistance:1.
