The man asked why and Imamdirected him to the Qur’an:وَقَطَّعَِْبٌُُٕ‏ اثَْْزٍَِ‏ عَشِشَحَ‏ ؤَسِجَبطًب ؤٍََُّب وَؤَوِدََُِْب إِىًَ‏‏ٍُىسًَ‏ إِرِ‏ اسِزَسِقَبُٓ‏ قَىٍُُِٔ‏ ؤَُِ‏ اظِشِة ثِّعَصَبكَ‏اىْذَجَشَ‏ فَبّجَجَسَذِ‏ ٍُِِْٔ اثَْْزَب عَشِشَحَ‏ عَُِّْب قَذِ‏ عَيٌَِ‏ مُوُّ‏ؤَُّبطٍ‏ ‏ٍَّشِشَثَهٌُِ‏ وَظَيَّيَْْب عَوَ‏ ‏َِهٌُِ‏ اىْغََبًَ‏ وَؤَّضَىَْْب عَيَُِهٌُِ‏اىََِّْ‏ وَاىسَّيْىَي مُيُىاْ‏ ٍِِ طَُِّجَبدِ‏ ‏ٍَب سَصَقَْْبمٌُِ‏ وٍََبظَيََُىَّب وَىَنِِ‏ مَبُّىاْ‏ ؤَّفُسَهٌُِ‏ ‏َظْيَُِىَُ‏And We divided them into twelve tribes, as nations; and Werevealed to Musa when his people asked him for water: Strikethe rock with your staff, so outnowed from it twelve springs;each tribe knew its drinking place; and We made the clouds togive shade over them and We sent to them manna and quails:Eat of the good things We have given you. And they did not doUs any harm, but they did injustice to their own souls.Why didn’t Allah just answer the dua’ of the people?
