The aim is to acquire independently new subject areas for research and development tasks, which e.g. due to economical or normative necessities are deemed worthy of being researched and developed. In order to be able to describe new issues, students have to learn methodologies for compiling already available knowledge and describing required know-how. In this connection, in addition to the ability to perform research, an understanding spanning all subjects and materials for available and new technologies is required. The result can thus be that students, in the framework of this course, describe the contents of the Project Thesis and of the Master’s thesis and combine them if necessary with a research proposal. � methodology of research � project initialisation of research and development projects on the basis of new ideas resp. of business operation or other necessities � project description in relation to process, costs and benefits of research projects � methodology of project management; description of instruments for coordinating research projects in terms of contents, personnel and finances � methodology for technology transfer of research results in practice � methodology for describing and representing research results in corresponding research resp. development reports � matching project results with the needs of the market � presentation of project proposals and discussion about contents and substance of the work � transfer of research and development results Seite 13
