Our staffcan assist you in obtaining grants, loans, scholarships and work-study opportunities. The federal government requires each post-secondary institution participating in financialaid programs to utilize their uniform and systematic evaluation of the financial need of allapplicants for aid. The form used to determine the amount you and your family can contributeto your education (EFC) is the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).Your need for financial aid will be determined by subtracting your family contribution(EFC) from your student budget. Student budgets are based on course of study, enrollmentstatus, and place of residence. Student aid from all federal and state funds will not exceed astudent’s need. A student must reapply each year for financial assistance. You must be eithera U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen to qualify for both federal and state aid.To apply for most types of assistance, students should complete the FAFSA as soon as possibleafter January 1 for the academic year which begins the following July.
