You must complete the appropriate assessment tests if you are:1) Enrolling in a course with an established reading, math, computer or English prerequisite,or 2) Seeking a degree or certificate and have completed seven or more credit hours. Allowtwo hours for testing. Every effort will be made to have test results available within 48 hours.This is only an initial placement. All students will be reassessed in their English, reading, computerand math classes during their first week of class. Students are allowed one free retest.All other retests have a fee. There will be no testing on holidays.You need to take the English as a Second Language (ESL) placement test if you plan to registerfor the ESL program on the Douglas Campus. COCHISE COLLEGE FALL 2009 SCHEDULE OF CLASSES 5ADMISSIONAdmission to Cochise College may be granted to any person who meets one of the followingcriteria:• Is a graduate of a high school which is regionally accredited, or has a GED, or• Is 18 years of age or older on or before the first day of classes, or• Is a transfer student in good standing from another college or university.• If you are under age 18 and do not have a high school diploma or GED, please see anadmissions representative before enrolling.• Additional admissions criteria is required for international, aviation, nursing, transferand concurrent high school students.New StudentsIf you are entering Cochise College for the first time, you must complete an admissionapplication available in the Admissions Office. Admission to Cochise College does not guaranteeenrollment in any specific course or program.To be admitted you need to:1. It is recommended to register asearly as possible to ensure a better choice of class selections and times.Former StudentsIf you have not enrolled at Cochise College during the past two years, you must be readmittedby filing an admission application with the Admissions Office.Transfer StudentsIf you have attended another college and would like to transfer credits toward an associatedegree from Cochise College, you must request that an official copy of your transcript(s) bemailed directly to the registrar from each of your previous colleges. Student copies or unofficialcopies are useful for advising but are not acceptable for transferring credits.Current High School StudentsIf you are a junior or senior-level high school student who would like to enroll in one ortwo classes, you may do so by submitting the following:• Admission application.• A Concurrent Enrollment Form which requires written approval from the designatedschool official, as well as parental or guardian approval and student approval to releasegrades to high school. The form is available at your high school or the Cochise CollegeAdmissions Office.• You must take the appropriate Cochise College placement tests.High school students taking occupational courses, such as agriculture, aviation, business,computers, culinary arts, drafting, welding, nursing and medical assisting, can complete aCOMPACT program registration packet and save up to 50 percent on the cost of each course.Packets are available at the Student Development Center, Admissions Office, and Tech PrepOffice, (520) 515-5347.New-StudentOrientationWe’re here to help you get the most out ofyour college experience!
