COCHISE COLLEGE FALL <strong>2009</strong> SCHEDULE OF CLASSES 7nursing program. The deadline for submitting an application to the nursing program for thefall semester is March 1 and is available online at www.cochise.edu. Those students who haveapplied by the deadline will be notified in March of the Nursing Entrance Test (NET). TheNET, which is given on several dates and times in April, is a four-hour test comprised ofEnglish comprehension, science, and algebra. The cost of the NET is payable at time of registrationonline by credit card. Students must meet the application deadline and all applicationdocumentation must be on file in order to register for the NET. The nursing program is designated"limited entry," which means you must qualify to be admitted into the program.Candidates admitted to the program will be notified by late May for the fall semester.The Arizona State Board of Nursing denies licenses to individuals with a felony convictionwho have not been fully discharged for five years prior to applying for a license. Contact theNursing Department or the Arizona State Board of Nursing for information regarding thisregulation.Specific information on the admission and selection procedures and dates is availableonline and through the Nursing Department. For information, contact the NursingDepartment at nursing@cochise.edu or (520) 417-4016 or (520) 515-5309.Health Cards and Immunizations<strong>Cochise</strong> <strong>College</strong> requires that students at high risk for exposure to vaccine-preventable diseasesbe protected. Students in the following programs are potential candidates, dependingon the particular course, for immunization policy requirements.• Emergency medical technician• Nursing• Paramedicine• Medical assistantIf you plan to register for one of these programs, call (520) 417-4016 or (520) 515-5309 forinformation about your minimum immunization requirements.Honors Students<strong>Cochise</strong> <strong>College</strong> offers an honors program for those who want an extra challenge in theireducational experience. The challenges afforded by the program lead to confidence in intellectualability and enhance the academic potential of all participants. You may apply to thehonors program if you have completed 12 credits in courses from the general education curriculumleading to a degree at <strong>Cochise</strong> <strong>College</strong>, are enrolled in a degree program, and have atleast a 3.5 grade point average.
