_____________________________________________________________________________________________Light TrucksLight Truck with only four tires: trucks (mini-van, panel, pickup, sport utility) of 10,000pounds gross vehicle weight rating or less.Logbook: a document carried in the truck cab or bus in which commercial motor vehicledrivers must enter their record of duty status for each 24 hour period using methodsproscribed by the US DOT.Luminaire: a complete lighting unit consisting of a lamp or lamps together with the partsdesigned to distribute the light, to position and protect the lamps, and to connect thelamps to the power supply.Luminaire Pole: a pole or post constructed to support a luminaire for lighting a roadway.Marked Crosswalk at Intersection: that portion of the roadway at the intersection that isdistinctly indicated for pedestrian crossing by lines or other markings on the surface ofthe roadway.Mechanical Failure: any mechanical failure, such as, a tire blowout, broken fan belt,broken axle, or similar event does not, by itself, constitute a motor vehicle collision.However, any subsequent injury or damage producing event resulting from themechanical failure would be a motor vehicle collision if the motor vehicle is in transport.Median: the portion of a divided trafficway separating the traveled way for traffic inopposing directions.Median Barrier: a longitudinal barrier (such as concrete) used to prevent an errantvehicle from crossing the portion of a divided highway separating the traveled ways fortraffic in opposite directions.Most Harmful Event for This Vehicle: the most harmful event in terms of propertydamage and injury caused by this vehicle.Most Damaged Area/Extent of Deformity: the location and severity of most damage onvehicle from crash.Motor Vehicle: any mechanically or electrically powered device, not operated on rails,upon which or by which any person or property may be transported or drawn upon ahighway. For purpose of this manual, any object such as a trailer, coaster, sled orwagon being towed by a motor vehicle is considered a part of the motor vehicle,including such devices when detached while in motion, or set in motion by a motorvehicle, such as during pushing. Also, the load, including occupants, upon or in themotor vehicle, or upon or in the device being towed or pushed, is considered a part ofthe motor vehicle.Motor Vehicle includes, but is not limited to the following devices:1. Automobiles (any type), bus, motorcycle, motorized bicycle or scooter, motorizedfire engine, truck, van, trolley bus not operating upon rails.2.
