Future ProjectsThe Company has future projects as follows:6.1 Waste Treatment System ProjectsThai Beverage Energy Co. is currently constructing the waste treatment system for fivedistilleries, which are Fuengfuanant Co., Athimart Co., S.S. Karnsura Co., Kankwan Co. andNateechai Co. in order to turn wastes into biogas to be used as fuel in the steam generating machine.This system aims to reduce fuel expenses of the distilleries. These projects have been started since thesecond quarter of 2007 and are expected to be completed within the fourth quarter of 2008. Theestimated total project cost is approximately Baht 850.0 million, which the Company will use theinternal cash flows to finance this project. As of June 30, 2008, the Company has already committedBaht 312.0 million investment into this project. Currently, the construction of waste treatment systemof Athimart Co. has been completed and is currently in the process of test run.6.2 Logistics ProjectThe Company is currently developing a new logistics system to improve its merchandisedistribution system and reduce expenses related to supply chain management. The Company isconstructing merchandise hubs in five separate locations, which are located in the southern part of thenortheastern region, northern part of the northeastern region, southern region, eastern region, andnorthern region. The construction of the merchandise hubs, the purchase of vehicles and theimproving of new technology have started in southern part of the northeastern region and the southernregion since the fourth quarter of 2007. The estimated total project cost is approximately Baht2,541.0 million which the Company will use the internal cash flows to finance this project. Thisproject is expected to be completed in 2009. As of June 30, 2008, the Company has alreadycommitted Baht 115.6 million investment into this project.6.3 Capacity Expansion for PET Bottle ProjectThe Company is currently expanding the capacity for the production of PET drinking waterbottles of Cosmos brewery from 500 cc to 600 cc bottles, and increase the capability to produce 750cc and 1,500 cc bottles. The project has started since the first quarter of 2008 and is expected to becompleted in the first quarter of 2009. The estimated project cost is approximately Baht 194.0 million,which the Company will use the internal cash flows to finance this project. As of June 30, 2008, theCompany has already committed Baht 26.8 million investment into this project.6.4 Capacity Expansion for TretaPak Line of Green TeaOishi Group Plc. plans to invest in TetraPak production line for green tea because at presentthe capacity of green tea TetraPak is run almost at full capacity. The project has started since 2008 andis expected to be completed in March 2009. The estimated total project cost is approximately Baht83.1 million, where the Company will invest Baht 71.0 million in December 2008 and Baht 12.1million in 2009.6.5 Aseptic Line ProjectThe Executive Committee of Oishi Group Plc. has approved a plan to invest in Aseptic Lineof green tea in order to reduce the cost of packaging. The estimated total project cost is approximatelyBaht 1,363.1 million. The project is expected to start in 2009 and finish in 2010. Oishi Group Plc.plans to invest Baht 1,022.3 million in 2009 and Baht 340.8 million in 2010. This project has not beenapproved by the board of directors of Oishi Group Plc., and under the rules and regulations regardingthe acquisitions of assets, Oishi Group Plc. will require approval from shareholders at thePart 2 Page 83
