Opponents answerquestions truthfully and even acceptindirectly injurious suggestions (i.e. “joinmy army” is okay, “fall on your sword”is not). <strong>The</strong> spell is broken if thekanteleer attacks.SuggestionLevel: 4 (Concordancy)Range: 10 feetDuration: Task CompletionEffect: Single ListenerSuggestion plants an idea in thelistener’s head that he or she will pursue.Such suggestions must be ordinaryactivities like “look in the crate” andcannot appear fatal to the victim. It canalso force a listener to accept a response.Unending MelodyLevel: 8 (Discordancy)Range: 60 feetDuration: SpecialEffect: drives one target crazyUnending melody places an endlesssong in the mind <strong>of</strong> a single target. <strong>The</strong>target must save vs. spells at -2 ortemporarily loose 2 Wisdom points eachround until a save is made or Wisdomdrops to 0. In the case <strong>of</strong> the latter, thecharacter is driven mad and engages inself-destructive behavior to get rid <strong>of</strong> thesong (i.e. hitting one’s head against asurface, or jumping <strong>of</strong>f a cliff). <strong>The</strong>duration <strong>of</strong> the ultimate state is treated asper maze, using the current Wisdomscore.Wind WhisperLevel: 4 (Resonance)Range: 100 feet + 200 feet per levelDuration: 1 roundEffect: 1 message<strong>The</strong> kanteleer sends a message or song(non-magical) to a specific person withinrange. Others cannot comprehend it.11
