CHAPTERS ANNUAL REPORT ANALYSISMany chapters are also actively working todiversify their membership base outside of buildingindustry professionals that have traditionallyconstituted chapter members. As people spend90% of their lives in buildings, chapters experiencingthe largest growth have capitalized on creatingrecruitment that appeals to a large audience. Wehave spent 20 years engaging our core audience ofbuilding professionals and now we must have thesame commitment and focus on broadening ourreach to new and diverse audiences and sectors inorder to reach true scale and attain our vision ofgreen buildings and communities for all. This is akey goal of the Three Year Plan. In 2013, chaptershave set broader membership targets. Chaptersinterested in diversity are encouraged to participatein USGBC’s two diversity related priorities forChapters: Community-Based Action Team and Faith-Based Action Team.
