The goal <strong>of</strong>RSU-EOC is to increase <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> adult participants who enroll in postsecondary educationinstitutions. Services provided by <strong>the</strong> program include: Academic advice, Personal counseling,Career workshops, Information on postsecondary educational opportunities, Information onstudent financial assistance, Assistance in completing applications for college admissions, testingand financial aid, Coordination with nearby postsecondary institutions, Media activities designedto involve and acquaint <strong>the</strong> community with higher education opportunities, Tutoring, MentoringServices provided to 3,300 participants located in <strong>the</strong> following Oklahoma counties: Craig,Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Ottawa, Rogers, Washington, Creek, Tulsa, Cherokee, McIntosh,Muskogee, Okmulgee, Osage, Wagoner, Blaine, Caddo, Canadian, Grady, Kingfisher, Logan,Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Pawnee, Payne, Pottawatomie, Adair, Cleveland, Haskell, Hughes,Leflore, Lincoln, McClain, Pittsburg, and Seminole.Talent Search:Grantor:U.S. Department <strong>of</strong> EducationAward Period: 09/01/08-08/31/09 $ 298,564Performance Period: 09/01/07-08/31/11 $1,194,256Remainder: End <strong>of</strong> Performance $597,128PeriodProgram Purpose: The RSU-Educational Talent Search (RSU-ETS) program identifies andassists individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have <strong>the</strong> potential to succeed in highereducation. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participantsand encourages <strong>the</strong>m to graduate from high school and continue on to <strong>the</strong> postsecondary school<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir choice. RSU-ETS also serves high school dropouts by encouraging <strong>the</strong>m to reenter<strong>the</strong> educational system and complete <strong>the</strong>ir education. The goal <strong>of</strong> RSU-ETS is to increase <strong>the</strong>number <strong>of</strong> youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in <strong>the</strong>postsecondary education institution <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir choice.
