The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participantsand encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to the postsecondary schoolof their choice. RSU-ETS also serves high school dropouts by encouraging them to reenterthe educational system and complete their education. The goal of RSU-ETS is to increase thenumber of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in thepostsecondary education institution of their choice. Services provided by the program include:Academic, financial, career, or personal counseling including advice on entry or reentry tosecondary or postsecondary programs, Career exploration and aptitude assessment, Tutorialservices, Information on postsecondary education, Exposure to college campuses, Information onstudent financial assistance, Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aidapplications, Assistance in preparing for college entrance exams, Mentoring programs, Specialactivities for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, Workshops for the families of participants.Services provided to 750 participants from the following target schools:Tulsa Schools: Clinton Middle School, Webster High School, Whitney Middle School, NathanHale High School, Foster Middle School, and East Central High School.
